Changes in the Collection of Earned Income Taxes
Act 32 of 2008 amends the Local Tax Enabling Act to require the county-wide consolidated collection of earned income tax (EIT). See the attached notice for details.
The Chester Tax Collection Committee (CTCC) recently appointed Keystone Collections Group to serve as the Earned Income Tax (EIT) and Local Services Tax (LST) collector for school and municipal taxing authorities within Chester County. More information >>>

Board of Supervisors Vacancy
The Board of Supervisors of Schuylkill Township is currently taking applications for an appointment to a vacancy on the Board. The term end for the appointment is December 2017 and this supervisor seat will be on the April 2017 primary ballot. The deadline for applications is July 15. LOCAL ROAD CLOSURES
National Historical Park
April 1 - July 31
Route 252 (Valley Forge Road) - from the Knox Covered Bridge to Route 23 and Yellow Springs Road - from Route 252 (Valley Forge Road) to Wilson Road, including the Knox Covered Bridge will be closed April 1, 2016 through July 31, 2016, for a Tredyffrin Township emergency sewer line repair project.

Route 29 (State Road)
July 18 - August 26
PennDOT has announced that the Phoenixville Area School District is scheduled to close Route 29 (State Road) between Pothouse Road and Campbell Lane in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, on Monday, July 18, through Friday, August 26, for utility installation.
During the closure, motorists traveling north on Route 29 (State Road) will be detoured over Pothouse Road, White Horse Road and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road). Motorists traveling south on Route 29 (State Road) will be detoured over Route 23 (Nutt Road), Bridge Street and Pothouse Road.

Aqua Road Work on Valley Forge Mountain
June - November
Aqua Pennsylvania will be doing water main replacement on various roads on Valley Forge Mountain starting in June with completion of this project expected in November. Chester County Health Department Offers Prevention Advice
now that the weather is warming up, the Chester County Health Department encourages county residents to “Make you and your home a bite-free zone," reducing the risk of mosquito-borne diseases like West Nile virus and Zika virus.

The 2016 schedule and regulations for residents to golf at the Phoenixville Country Club have been posted at the Information for Residents page.
