The Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors held their Reorganization Meeting for the year 2010 on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Hall.

The 2010 Reorganization Meeting was called to order by Mrs. Cohen at 7:04PM

Mr. Fred Parry was sworn in as a member of the Board of Supervisors of Schuylkill Township by Justice Theodore P. Michaels.

The official meeting date for the Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors will be the first (1st) Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. at the Schuylkill Township Hall except if such date falls on a holiday; the Board will meet on the day following such holiday unless otherwise advertised.

The Township Manager will advertise the specific dates for the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Environmental Advisory Council, Historical Commission, Open Space Commission and the Phoenixville Regional Planning Committee meetings for the year 2010.

A motion was made to set the Township mileage reimbursement rate to follow the IRS mileage rate of $0.50/mile for the year 2010.

A motion to approve Resolution #2010-01 designating the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company (VFVFC) to provide fire protection to Schuylkill Township was made.

Mr. Parry commented on the excellent relationships between Schuylkill Township’s various departments; specifically roads, police and volunteer fire company, and thanked Mr. Cinciripino, Mr. Fetterman and Mr. Beittel for their excellent work in keeping the lines of communication open.
Mrs. Williams added her approbation to Mr. Parry’s comments and went on to commend the VFVFC for their services and expressed the Board’s deep appreciation for the VFVFC’s dedication to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Schuylkill Township.
A motion was made to approve the list of Annual Activities of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company for the year 2010.

A motion was made to approve the 2010 Township Fee Schedule until such time as amended by the Board of Supervisors.
